Every year at Homecoming, we offer special shirts and other fan gear items through Mr. Coleman's marketing class with the proceeds supporting a Concordia student mission opportunity. In the previous years, we have raised funds through the Homecoming store to help build homes in Costa Rica and last year, we partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

This year, Concordia will again be partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, that has a strong Houston chapter. The slogan for Sleep in Heavenly Peace is “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!” For many who receive a bed, it is the reality that the family cannot afford a bed for every child/person in their home. As a result, some kids have to sleep on the floor, couch, co-sleep, etc.

The cost to build 40 beds is $10,000 and all profits from the shirt and fan gear sales will go toward that goal. Later this school year, Concordia will organize a build day in Houston for helping assemble the beds that we fund.
