Summer School
June 3 to June 20, Monday through Thursday, in Guidance Office with Mrs. Christian.
The cost for each course is $500.
Summer School may only be taken for credit recovery.
Students taking only one course will be in class from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Students taking two courses, must bring a lunch and will have class from 8 AM to 11:30 AM with a lunch break on campus and class from noon to 3:30 PM. In the morning, a break will be given from 9:45 to 10:00. In the afternoon, a break will be given from 1:45 to 2:00.
By passing a course, a student will recover 0.5 Credit in their assigned course.
Each previously failed semester grade and the attempted recovery grade that is earned in summer school will be included in the student’s cumulative GPA. The recovery grade does not replace the previously failed grade.
Students will be provided a Chromebook by the school to use during class time!
Students will not have access to their phones during class time. They will be allowed to check their phones during a break.
Students should be in attendance every day. If a student is sick and must miss a day of school, the parents must communicate with Mrs. Christian.
Students will be required to do a lot of work in a short amount of time. There will be a strict behavior policy. A student who repeatably misbehaves or distracts other students while not cooperating with redirection will be asked leave summer school with no refund given.
Due to the 90% attendance rule, if a student is out sick for two or more days, then the student will not receive credit and a failing grade will be issued for the summer school class that will be calculated into the student’s cumulative GPA.
